Offered for sale are five, silverplate, souvenir teaspoons from Europe.
They all bear enamelled crests of European destinations with the exception of one.
This is a German Silverpated spoon celebrating the "Kappellbrucke" in Lucerne, Switzerland, stamped "Versilbert" on the rear, it measures 115mm in length.
Kapellbrücke (literally, Chapel Bridge) was a famous covered wooden footbridge spanning the river Reuss diagonally in the city of Lucerne in central Switzerland, the bridge was sadly destroyed in 1995.
One is a spoon commemorating the Northern Spanish city of San Sebastian and features a three mast galleon with bright yellow sails against an azure sky. It is stamped Ap & 95 on the back and measures 110mm in length.
There are three from Portugal all stamped "Domex Portugal & Alpaca" on the back. The Lisboa spoon has the monument and statue of the marquess of Pombal in Lisbon and measures 115mm in length. Sintra features the Pona Palace a romanticist castle in São Pedro de Penaferrim, in the municipality of Sintra, on the Portuguese Riviera and measures 115mm in length. Finally Estoril features the beach of Praia do Tamariz and Forte da Cruz, a large faux castle which is apparently owned by the Monaco royal family and measures 105mm in length.
