Offered for sale is "The Parson" plate one of the nine character plates in the Royal Doulton "The Professionals" seriesware collection. This version is numbered T.C.1047, the parson in this version is depicted wearing spectacles, a green jacket, brown waist coat and a black Tricorn hat with yellow trim and is holding a bible or prayer book. The T.C.xxxx series (produced 1960 - 1974) is similar to the D6XXX series but made with a much whiter in appearance translucent china.
