Wedgwood had manufactured Peter Rabbit nurseryware since 1949 under licence from Beatrix Potter's publishers, Frederick Warne & Co. Between 1994 and 2003 Wedgwood retailed annual calendar plates in Queen's ware featuring Peter Rabbit as an extension to their nurseryware giftware range. Wedgwood had already been manufacturing annual calendar plates in Queen's ware for the adult market since 1971. This plate from 1994 features a central print of Peter, his siblings, Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail, and their mother, Mrs Rabbit.
